1-Day Rwanda Mountain Gorilla Tour
At 4:30 am, our professional English/French-speaking driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel/residence in Kigali after an early breakfast.
You will then drive northwest for approximately 110 km (68 miles), a journey of about 2–2.5 hours, to Volcanoes National Park — the home of Rwanda’s mountain gorillas.
During the drive, you will enjoy Rwanda’s famous rolling hills, beautiful landscapes, and terraced plantations covering the countryside.
At 7:30 am, you will arrive at the park headquarters in Kinigi Village for registration, gorilla family allocation, and a briefing by the park rangers about trekking rules and safety guidelines.
After the briefing, your driver-guide will transfer you to the trekking starting point. The hike can take anywhere between 1 to 4 hours depending on the location of the gorilla family assigned to you.
Once you locate the gorillas, you will spend one unforgettable hour observing and photographing them in their natural habitat.
After the trek, you will return to the starting point where your driver-guide will meet you and drive you back to Kigali (110 km / 68 miles – approximately 2–2.5 hours). You will be dropped off at your hotel or Kigali International Airport in the late afternoon or early evening.
