Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve
You’ll set off on an early morning drive to the Masai Mara National Reserve, one of the last places where wildlife still roams largely undisturbed. As the northern edge of the vast Serengeti ecosystem, the Mara hosts the spectacular seasonal migration of thousands of wildebeest and zebras, with predators in close pursuit. Arrive in time for lunch, then head out for an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight will be at your campsite or lodge.

Masai Mara National Reserve — One full da
After breakfast enjoy a full-day game drive with a packed lunch. The Mara is famed for its black-maned lions and abundant resident wildlife — one of the few places where you can often see the Big Five in a single morning. Cheetahs here can be remarkably tame, sometimes resting in the shade of vehicles or even clambering onto roofs for a better view. Birdwatchers will delight in nearly 500 recorded species, including numerous eagles, hawks, falcons, vultures, storks, bustards (notably the kori bustard) and colorful sunbirds. Dinner and overnight at the campsite or lodge.

We’ll start with an early drive out of the reserve, then complete border formalities and continue across into Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park. It’s a long travel day, but game viewing en route and at park boundaries can be unexpectedly rewarding. Dinner and overnight will be at the lodge.

Serengeti National Park
After a morning breakfast, you’ll head into the vast Serengeti where the “endless plains” stretch to the horizon. Home to over two million large mammals—more than a million wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of zebras and Thomson’s gazelles—the park draws predators like lions, cheetahs and hyenas following the migration. Smaller mammals (rock hyrax, bat‑eared foxes, mongooses, jackals, primates) and nearly 500 bird species add constant interest. In the afternoon enjoy a game drive en route to camp. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

From Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater
Have a morning game drive in Serengeti and then transfer to Ngorongoro.
Today you will wake up very early to do an early morning safari before breakfast, to spot the animals when they are more active and also to have a fantastic sunrise in front of you. The sunrise in the African savannah is one of the most beautiful experiences one can have. After the game drive, return to the camp for brunch. In the afternoon, transfer to Ngorongoro, the 8th Natural Wonder of the World. With walls 2,000 ft high and a crater floor that spreads for 102 sq miles, the crater is a virtual Noah's Ark. It is inhabited by almost every species of wildlife indigenous to East Africa including the rare black rhino.
The crater has the greatest concentration of wildlife on the planet.
The large bull elephants that reside here have extremely large tusks, due to the rich mineral content of the volcanic soil and its grasses.

After lunch, we will have time for a short game drive and then ascend the crater and exit Ngorongoro Conservation Area towards Arusha.
