8-Day Taste of Zanzibar and Safari in Tanzania

Welcome to Zanzibar! After arriving at Zanzibar Airport and clearing customs, you will meet your driver, who will transfer you to your hotel near Stone Town. The short 15-minute drive offers a chance to hear interesting stories about Zanzibar’s rich history from your local driver. Once you have settled in, you will take a short drive to Stone Town for a guided tour of its historic sites and unique architecture.

After breakfast, you can relax at your hotel or enjoy the activities available. It’s a perfect time to unwind, use the fitness center, or treat yourself at the spa. Zanzibar is known for its stunning beaches, great hotels, and warm hospitality. It’s truly a wonderful place to spend your day.

Early at 6:00 am (pick-up time varies by hotel), you will be driven to the airport for your 8:00 am flight from Zanzibar to Arusha. Upon arrival at 9:15 am, your guide will take you to Tarangire National Park, about 1.5 hours away, sharing stories about Arusha’s history and Maasai culture along the way.

Tarangire is famous for its rich biodiversity and large elephant herds. Its landscapes range from seasonal swamps to savannah, with the Tarangire River flowing through. You might spot lions hunting or leopards resting in tree branches.

In the afternoon, you'll enjoy your packed lunch inside the park. The game drive ends around 4:00 p. Then, you will return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

After a delicious breakfast, you will drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for an exciting game drive.

Ngorongoro is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its natural and cultural significance. As you descend into the crater, you’ll have a great chance to see the Big Five, including prides of lions, herds of buffalo, elephants, leopards, and black rhinos. The crater lakes attract flamingos and many other bird species, while the scenery itself is stunning. Be prepared to see a wide variety of animals in a short time.

After the game drive, you will head to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

You will start your day with a delicious breakfast at 7:00 am as your safari comes to an end. Today, you will head to Lake Manyara National Park, located at the base of the Great Rift Valley. This park is known for its varied landscapes and is home to tree-climbing lions, elephants, giraffes, and many bird species around the alkaline lake. You'll enjoy a scenic game drive through lush forests and open savannah.

In the afternoon, you will drive to Arusha Airport for your 4:30 pm flight back to Zanzibar, which takes about an hour. Upon arrival, your driver will transfer you to your hotel for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will spend the day relaxing at your hotel or enjoying any activities you prefer. This is the perfect time to unwind, perhaps use the fitness facilities, or simply take in the peaceful atmosphere. Zanzibar is famous for its beautiful beaches, excellent beach hotels, and friendly local people, making it a wonderful place to relax and enjoy your stay.

After breakfast, you will have the day to relax at your hotel or take part in activities of your choice. It’s an ideal time to unwind, enjoy some fitness routines, or simply spend the day at leisure. Zanzibar is well known for its beautiful beaches, great beach hotels, and warm hospitality, making it a top destination to enjoy and explore.

After checking out of your hotel, you will be transferred to Zanzibar Airport or Harbor for your onward journey. As you leave, you’ll reflect on the vibrant markets of Stone Town, the peaceful beaches of Nungwi, and the spice-scented air that makes Zanzibar so special.
